iAlp, Museum Collections Go “Smart”Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, France
From: 11.07.2015 to: 11.07.2015The iAlp project, headed by the Museo Nazionale della Montagna and to be signed into agreement on 11 July 2015, proposes a technological networking of mountain museums to better streamline access to and distribution of historical information. The first two pilot museums - Museo Nazionale della Montagna di Torino, and Musée Alpin a Chamonix - possess an exceptional historical and cultural heritage. Through this agreement, the two museums plan to preserve, describe, and make readily available their wealth of historical and cultural knowledge. The project is not targeted for use by specialists and historians, rather for tourism operators and cultural guides. The intent is to build, through the participation of such third-parties, new methods for dissemination and appreciation of the museums’ collections. |
