UN Global Indigenous Youth Forum

From: 16.10.2023 to: 20.10.2023

The Biannual UN Global Indigenous Youth Forum hosted by the Food & Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and organized by the Global Indigenous Youth Caucus (GIYC) will take place in Rome, Italy from 16 - 20 October 2023. The first forum was held online in June 2021 and resulted in the "Indigenous Youth Global Declaration on Sustainable and Resilient Food Systems". This year, upwards of 200 Indigenous Youth from the seven sociocultural regions of the world will gather at the FAO headquarters to hold dialogues and engage in policy discussions affecting the future of Indigenous Peoples' food and knowledge systems in the context of climate action.
