Expo Andes 2013

This trade show brings together professionals, businesses and institutions dedicated to mountain activities in South America. Mountain development businesses from 15 countries will display their products and services - ropeways, security and rescue, avalanche control, geotechnics, meteorology and mountain medicine, among others. A  symposium will allow experts, authorities and personalities from around the world to share their knowledge and experiences.

A seminar on 23 October called “Mountain Policies and Institutions / International Development of the Andes” will feature a presentation by Francisco Mendoza of FAO.

The three-day event will attract representatives of various government ministries, ski resorts, mountain municipalities, border crossings, tourism operators, mountain roads, mountain parks, ropeways operators, police, army and skiing and snowboarding schools and clubs.
