Workshop on Agroforestry practices in Central Asia

Mountain Societies Research Institute at the University of Central Asia (MSRI) is organizing a workshop on Agroforestry practices in Central Asia, which will take place in the remote mountain village, Chon Kemin. The workshop agenda includes agroforestry presentations and working group sessions as well as two field trips to agroforestry sites on the third day of the workshop.  

 About 30 participants from Central Asia, China and the United States will come together to review existing agroforestry practices in Central Asia, focusing on related research and findings in this field. As an outcome of the meeting it is planned to develop a background paper on the potential of agroforestry in Central Asia and recommendations that can be used as a guide for practitioners in their further work.
