Milan Expo 2015: “Mountains: Emotions and Governance”

Italy’s Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Andrea Olivero, hosts the event “Mountains: Emotions and Governance” on 21 October at Expo 2015 in the auditorium of the Italy Pavilion in Milan, Italy.
The event will be a celebration of mountains and an exploration into the emotions they inspire in humankind, as well as a look into traditions of knowledge that have originated in mountain societies. The goals of the event are to explore the relationship between humanity and mountain territories, and to create debate about finding new solutions to systems of governance in mountains. Participating in the discussion will be former Olympic cross-country skier Stefania Belmondo and Mountain Partnership Ambassador Reinhold Messner. Rosalaura Romeo will represent the Mountain Partnership Secretariat.
