Mountain Wilderness International General Assembly

Bagà, Catalonia, Spain
From: 20.05.2016 to: 22.05.2016

The Mountain Wilderness International General Assembly is held every 2 years. This year the meeting will take place on 20-22 May in Bagà, Spain, 120 km north of Barcelona, close to the French border. The meeting is a unique opportunity for members to better understand the issues and actions that Mountain Wilderness undertakes across Europe and beyond and contribute in setting its direction by voting on the proposals that will be presented. This is also a forum for sharing wilderness experiences in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

Exceptionally, this year the “Biella Thesis” (the fundamental manifesto of the organization) will be reviewed so it can be enhanced in light of recent changes affecting mountain environments. Each national chapter has the possibility to send a number delegates to this event. Should you be interested in attending, please contact your local MW organization for logistics.

Mountain Wilderness International (MWI) is an umbrella organization that facilitates communications and exchanges between the country organizations or chapters. Active in nearly 20 countries, it coordinates and organizes international actions and is the official representative of the association in all international contexts with governments and non-governmental organizations.

By invitation only.
