Third Sustainable Mountain Tourism Alliance Symposium

The third Sustainable Mountain Tourism Alliance (SMTA) Symposium, “Building a Meta-Network”, will have a geographic focus on Italian mountains and their relation with the neighbouring countries of Austria, France and Switzerland. This symposium will bring together primarily the Italian-speaking partners of the SMTA and will seek to better connect them with other Alpine, North American and Scandinavian sustainable mountain development initiatives. There will also be a specific focus on existing sustainability initiatives and the potential for creating more resilient mountain economies.

The workshop languages include English, French and Italian. Participants are from the tourism sector, from local and regional political bodies, NGOs, universities and research centres and from related industry sectors, including agriculture, forestry, renewable energy, transportation and more.
