International Mountain Summit

For the past nine years, the International Mountain Summit (IMS) in Bressanone/South Tyrol has gathered mountain lovers together from all over the world. “Meet.Mountain.People.Soul” will be the central theme for this year’s festival. In the 2017 edition, not only will famous speakers have a central role but so will the children of the Euregio.Youth.Camp, the mountain doctors coming from abroad and the mountain legend Peter Habeler, who will celebrate his 75th birthday during the IMS. 

For this year's programme, the IMS team will focus primarily on the importance and on the meaning of “encounter”. "Meet your experiences" is the key message of the 2017 IMS.

The festival programme will include speeches, group walks, exhibitions and more. During the IMS, Mountain Partnership Goodwill Ambassador Reinhold Messner will premiere his new movie "AMA DABLAM - The holy mountains".
