Knowledge Sharing Summit

The Canadian Mountain Network (CMN) is hosting its 3rd Annual Knowledge Sharing Summit on 25-28 September 2023 in Parksville, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada, at the Tigh-Na-Mara Seaside Spa Resort & Conference Centre.

This is the CMN's final Knowledge Sharing Summit after five years of mountain research as well as their work of braiding Indigenous and Western knowledges. The CMN will also be discussing a new transition for the future of the Network.

The Knowledge Sharing Summit brings together Indigenous organizations and communities, university researchers, government, business, and not-for-profit partners to mobilize knowledge about mountain systems with a focus on Indigenous-led research.

The goals of the summit are to:

  • engage the CMN community of research teams, collaborators, extended community, and the general public;
  • mobilize knowledge created within the Network, or with the support of CMN; and
  • inform and raise awareness about opportunities and challenges for mountain systems and beyond, across Canada and internationally.
