International Day for Biological Diversity photo exhibition

To mark the International Day for Biodiversity, the Centre for Climate Change and Disaster Reduction (CCDR)  in cooperation with Youth for Mountainous Development (YMD) and the Pamir Biological Institute will hold a photo exhibition and show videos to increase understanding and raise public awareness on the importance of preservation of mountain biodiversity in the view of global changes. Preservation of biodiversity in the Pamirs region of Tajikistan will be the focus of this event, which will be held at the world’s second highest botanical garden, that of Pamirs.

Additionally, CCDR will cover the issues of biodiversity and adaptation to climate change in mountain environments in a series of lectures given to the students of the Khorog State University and Khorog secondary schools.
