US art museum to host Himalayan dance performers

The Rubin Museum of Art in New York City will present artistic performances by numerous artists from the Dance Theater of Nepal on 20 July 2014. The outdoor event will feature performances by renowned artists, such as Raj Kapoor, Madal, Avay Dhungel and Kabina Maharjan from the theatre group. The Dance Theater of Nepal, which showcases Himalayan culture for an international audience, has received a community development grant from the Citizens Committee of New York City for a new project themed ‘Inside-Out,’ which aims to bring various Nepali regional groups together for a concert and photography exhibit.
