The landscape and the UNESCO brand: an Alpine twinning and not only

As part of the EXPO Dolomiti 2014 three-day meeting that runs from 26 to 28 September, this workshop is organized by the Italian Presidency of the Alpine Convention in collaboration with Fondazione Dolomiti UNESCO and Longarone Fiere. The workshop will take place from 11 am until 1.30 pm at Longarone Fiere, Longarone, in Italian.

Topics of the workshop will be the sustainable management of some selected UNESCO sites (Alpine, but not exclusively) and measures adopted to assure forms of eco-friendly tourism. Moreover, by means of case studies, how the "UNESCO brand" may lead to changes of the existing tourism offer and fruition will be discussed, as will the consequences on the landscape and surrounding environment. 

A wide audience will participate - local administrators, tourism experts and students of tourism, environment and ecology.
