UNCCD COP12

The 12th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP12) to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) will take place in Ankara on 12-23 October 2015.

COP, the supreme decision-making body, comprising all Parties to the Convention, meets every two years. The UNCCD works to improve the living conditions of people in the world’s drylands, to maintain and restore land and soil productivity and to mitigate the effects of drought.
