International Youth Expedition “Mt Damavand 5671m”

The Youth Commission of the International Climbing and Mountaineering Federation (UIAA) and the I.R. Iran Mountaineering and Sport Climbing Federation are organizing their first international youth ascent on Mt Damavand in northern Iran.

Mt Damavand (5 671 m) is the highest peak in all of the Middle East and also the highest volcano in Asia.

The event invites young people from all over the world to participate and share this experience with fellow young climbers. Take advantage of this unique opportunity to visit Iran’s majestic Alborz mountain range, and learn to apply new mountaineering and rescue techniques.

Age requirement: 16-24
