Discovering medicinal and edible plants in the French Alps

On the occasion of the Mountain Festival, on 27 June 2015, Mountain Wilderness France will organize a hike in the Vercors to discover edible and medicinal plants. The event, accompanied by a mountain leader, will help participants to learn how to identify plants, gather them, preserve them and prepare them to treat common ailments, or to go with daily meals.

The association intends to publicize the natural heritage of the Alps and encourage the consumption of natural products. To develop soft mobility in the mountains, access to the event will be made by public transportation. The hike will be followed by a vegetarian dinner at the Soldanelle Hut.
