VisMont Conference: “Agriculture, Environment and Territory: An Innovative Vision for Mountain Agriculture”

Sponsored by the Universitá della Montagna, the VisMont Conference is organized by the Council for Research in Agriculture (CRA) in conjunction with Club Alpino Italiano (CAI) and Parco Orobie Bergamo.  The conference, aimed at a wide audience of local operators, governments, entrepreneurs and all stakeholders, will provide a forum to discuss and study issues surrounding mountain environment.  Topics of discussion will include: environment and territory; forest and ecosystem services; mountain farming; specific indigenous cultures; and local products.  The conference will promote the participation of young scientists, students and doctoral candidates, providing an opportunity to present their work at the BergamoScienza event to be held in Bergamo in October 2015.  Registration for the conference closes on 30 June 2015, and all abstracts for poster presentations must also be submitted by this date.
