Regional Media Training Workshop: Air pollution, its sources and impacts, and mitigation options

The Atmosphere Initiative at the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD), realizing the media’s important role in raising public awareness on the deteriorating air quality in the Hindu Kush Himalayas (HKH) region is organizing a Regional Media Training Workshop: Air pollution, its sources and impacts, and mitigation options from 16 to 20 November 2015 in Kathmandu, Nepal. It aims to increase their understanding of the issues and complexities surrounding air pollution, its sources and impacts, and mitigation options. A detailed information about the training workshop, its benefits, guidelines for applications and eligibility guidelines is also available online.

Interested journalists may apply for participation to the training workshop by using the online application form (direct link for the form) available at ICIMOD website, no later than 16 August 2015.

Applications will be reviewed and only successful applicants will be notified via email by 11 September 2015.
