Mountain Days 2013

The Mountain Days event is organized by the Swiss-Austrian Alliance for Mountain Research and aims to exchange of information on ongoing and planned research activities in Switzerland and Austria and foster existing and stimulating new research partnerships. The event is organized in coordination with the Symposium for Research in Protected Areas (10-12 June 2013, Hohe Tauern National Park Center in Mittersill, Austria). Under the guiding theme "Dynamics and conservation in protected areas - challenges for research and management", the symposium aims to stimulate the debate on the role of basic and applied research to meet the challenges of protected area management. Researchers interested in the symposium are invited to submit papers by 12 October 2012 and are encouraged to stay for the Swiss-Austrian Mountain Days.
