Five years action for development of mountain regions

In the framework of the International Year of Sustainable Mountain Development 2022, the Permanent Mission of the Kyrgyz Republic to the United Nations will host a high-level event on Tuesday, 24 May 2022 in New York to present the draft five-year action plan for the sustainable development of the world’s mountain regions. The event will be moderated by Rosalaura Romeo of the Mountain Partnership Secretariat at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).

QU Dongyu, the FAO Director-General, will deliver a video message. Speakers include Amina J Mohammed, Deputy-Secretary General and Chair of the UN Sustainable Development Group; Liu Zhenmin, United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Economic and Social Affairs; and Ambassador Nurlan Aitmurzaev, Kyrgyz Republic.
