The Lao Handicraft Association (LHA) is a non-profit organization. It was established on 1 April 1998 under the supervision of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and the Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The objectives of the LHA are to bring skilled craftspeople together and preserve their handicrafts to build economic strength; to promote and develop the quality and number of businesses, producers and the overall handicraft trade in general; and to act as a network for private and government organizations as well as international organizations. |
