Local Initiatives for Biodiversity, Research and Development (LI-BIRD) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization founded in 1995. Its core mission is to harness local resources, innovations and institutions to sustainably manage natural resources and enhance the livelihoods of smallholder farmers. It works along the research-to-development continuum, promoting local innovation and resource mobilization. Their work encompasses agriculture, biodiversity and natural resource management. |
