Grupo Solidario de Gestión Comunitaria (GSGC) is a community-based organization aimed at sustainably enhancing the living conditions of agricultural producers in Capotillo, located in the northwest Dominican Republic. To fulfill its mission, GSGC is actively seeking solutions to the needs of the local population, beginning with ensuring access to essential services such as water and communication. Furthermore, GSGC is dedicated to fostering sustainable livelihoods by advocating for a shift in agricultural practices. The focus is on transforming from subsistence agriculture to agroforestry, specifically centred around cocoa cultivation. This approach aims to bring about positive change in the community's economic and agricultural landscape. |
