Cooperativa Agraria Ganadera de Alpaqueros 1ro de Octubre de Cojata was established on 30 October 2020 in response to the need for collaboration among family alpaca breeders in the high Andes, hailing from various rural communities within the Cojata district. The Cooperativa is dedicated to improving the economic, social, cultural and environmental well-being of its members, their families and the community. The cooperative's mission is guided by a social agreement grounded in cooperative principles and the ancestral norms of Andean culture, emphasizing reciprocity, solidarity and mutual assistance among members. The Cooperativa aims to address educational and technical productive development needs, including production, processing and marketing, in alignment with the principles and values of cooperatives.
