Foundation for Rural Integrated Enterprise and Development (FRIEND)

Foundation for Rural Integrated Enterprise and Development (FRIEND) is a locally based nongovernmental organization dedicated to implementing integrated approaches for community development, focusing on rural and underserved regions within Fiji's western, northern and central divisions. Its mission is to empower communities by providing them with knowledge, skills and resources, enabling them to enhance their livelihoods and break the cycle of poverty.

FRIEND actively engages with communities in various projects related to climate change mitigation, disaster preparedness, community-based adaptation, natural resources management, strengthening local economies, governance programs and sustainable livelihoods that aim to promote healthy living.
