Cooperativa de Producción, Trabajo y Servicios Múltiples de Villa Poppy (COOPROVIPO)

Villa Poppy is situated within the buffer zone of Valle Nuevo National Park in La Vega province of the Dominican Republic. Originally established as a relocation solution for farming families previously residing in protected areas, this community now comprises 55 households. Among them, twenty-five families are actively engaged in agriculture, cultivating designated plots of land for agricultural production.

To bolster their market position, facilitate access to financing and enhance community infrastructure, the farming families formed Cooperativa de Producción, Trabajo y Servicios Múltiples de Villa Poppy (COOPROVIPO). a cooperative that unites them with shared objectives and a collective vision for progress.
