Center for Research on Environment and Development of the University of Manizales (CIMAD)

The Center for Research on Environment and Development (CIMAD) engages in training, research, projects and environmental management processes, with emphasis on sustainable development in socioecological systems, social and human development, and integrated biosystems. CIMAD focuses on addressing issues such as climate change, environmental education, bioeconomy, territorial development, conservation of mountain ecosystems, wetlands, biodiversity and ecosystem services, environmental impact assessment, political ecology, ecological economics and environmental economics.
