Mount Elgon Coffee and Honey Co-Operative Society Ltd

Mount Elgon Coffee and Honey Cooperative Society Ltd is a cooperative of farmer producers and exporters. Since 2017, the cooperative has been working with members from 25 to 50 groups to commercialize a successful beekeeping coffee integration model. The model aims to introduce profitable beekeeping enterprises to 535 households in the Mt Elgon region, covering Sipi-Kapchorwa, Bulambuli, Sironko, Mbale, Bududa, Manafwa and Namisindwa districts. With a specific focus on improving the livelihoods of women and youth, the cooperative focuses on addressing the challenges of limited land and employment opportunities in the area.
