The Yaviin Bulag Cooperative was established in 2003. It brings together a community of herders from the mountains that has been operating sustainably for over 20 years. The main focus areas of the Cooperative include (1) agriculture, farming and animal fodder cultivation; (2) food production and livestock; (3) a sewing workshop; (4) providing microfinance services and loans; (5) tree breeding; and (6) serving the Cooperative members through activities such as purchasing and selling livestock and raw materials in the market. The Cooperative owns 100 hectares of agricultural land. |
