The “Mountains on a Changing Planet” crash course offers a theoretical framework about the various environmental factors that impact mountain dynamics on a global scale. 

Two field-trips are organized in the mountain range 'Serra da Estrela' since it represents a good example to illustrate many of the topics discussed during te course. Moreover, the 'Serra da Estrela' is part of a geopark, a model that can contribute to the sustainable management of the territory.
