The seventh Global Environments Summer Academy (GESA 2022) encompassed a four-month online fellowship and an in-person Academy hosted by the University of Oxford’s Environmental Change Institute, a five-month immersive fellowship for changemakers who are working to find durable solutions to complex social and environmental challenges.
GESA brings together participants from across the world, attracting researchers, practitioners, activists, academics, and artists. The Academy provides mentoring, support, guidance, tools-sharing and expertise for those working on the frontlines for ecological and social justice and planetary well-being. From 2011 to 2018, GESA has welcomed 118 emerging environmental and social changemakers from 58 countries. For GESA 2022, 17 participants from 15 countries, comprising activists, scholars, artists, researchers and practitioners who impact academia, civil society, the private sector and government. |
