The educational program prepares a specialist with a bachelor’s degree in Management of Organic Farming Systems in Mountainous Regions.

Based on critical understanding of management theories and principles, the graduate of the educational program gain knowledge for effective management of mountain regions' organic farming systems with respect to social, economic, ecological, and ethical aspects.

In addition, after acquiring knowledge of a foreign language and practical skills, they can work both in the national and international labor market.

The educational program prepares graduates that will:

  • Have fair purpose about the world of organic farming systems, mountain ecology, environment protection, degraded lowland soils, phytosanitary reclamation, freshwater management and train a specialist with the skills needed to manage organic farming systems in mountainous regions.
  • Be able to use climate-smart technologies in organic farming systems in mountainous regions,
  • Use appropriate information and communication technologies for organic farming systems in mountainous regions, based on the list of different program subjects: Sustainable green bioeconomy, Farm management, Soils of the highlands of Georgia, Animal breeding, Agricultural mechanization, Forest and wood processing management, Supply chain management, Plant pests, diseases, and integrated management in mountain farming systems, Organic agriculture of the mountain zone etc.
  • Work on a bachelor’s thesis in the process of professional values, adheres to the principles of civil responsibility and norms of ethics.
  • Plan to continue studies independently at the next level of higher education - master's degree.
