MP member launches African NGO network to drive environmental sustainability24.10.2023A new alliance launched on 20 October 2023 by the Albertine Rift Conservation Society (ARCOS Network) and the Circular Bioeconomy Alliance aims to drive environmental sustainability in Africa. The African NGOs Alliance for Environmental Sustainability (ANAES) brings together leading non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to unify efforts conservation across the content. Africa faces numerous environmental challenges, including ecosystem degradation, biodiversity loss, wildlife poaching, poverty and pollution, which are all exacerbated by climate change. These challenges are complex and require collective efforts to address them effectively. The objective of ANAES is to unite African NGOs' conservation efforts, foster leadership, share experiences and promote active engagement in environmental sustainability practices guided by ANAES' theory of change. The alliance is open to all African NGOs that meet the necessary selection criteria. The African NGOs Alliance for Environmental Sustainability contributes to the mission and vision of the Mountain Partnership, the United Nations alliance dedicated to mountain people and environments.
