International Mountain Conference, call for sessions opens 4 October

The call for sessions for the International Mountain Conference 2022 (IMC2022) opens on 4 October 2021.

The University of Innsbruck will host the IMC2022 on 11–15 September 2022 in Innsbruck, Austria. The IMC2022 builds upon previous mountain conferences and aims to continue this scientific conference series on mountain research. Hosted in the Alps, IMC2022 provides an opportunity for experts from different disciplines to discuss mountain-related issues in a cross-disciplinary setting with flexible session formats. The key goals of the conference are to synthesize and enhance understanding of mountain systems, in particular their response to global changes and their resilience.

The conference is organized within the framework of the Mountain Partnership, with several members also partners of the conference, including Eurac Research, Global Mountain Biodiversity Assessment, Mountain Research Initiative and United Nations University.
