Members meet for Fourth Mountain Partnership Global Meeting

13.09.2013

Over 100 members are expected for the Fourth Global Meeting of the Mountain Partnership that will take place in Erzurum, Turkey, 17-20 September 2013.

The global meeting will be key to endorsing the new four-year strategy and governance of the Mountain Partnership and to initiate work on its implementation.

It will also provide a unique opportunity for members from across the world a chance to meet, network, present interesting initiatives and promote collaborative action in sustainable mountain development.

In addition to three days of plenary meetings and a Partnership Fair where members from around the world will present their activities, there will be 15 side events co-organized by participants.

The most recent global meeting was held on the sidelines of the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development Rio+20 summit in June 2012, following two previous global meetings of members in Cusco, Peru, in 2004 and in Merano, Italy, in 2003.
