The best news stories on climate change in the Himalayas to be selected in India

The Indian Himalayas Climate Adaptation Programme (IHCAP) of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation in partnership with the Third Pole invite professional journalists to submit their media reports on climate change in the Indian Himalayas for a competition. The competition is being organized to encourage appropriate reporting of climate change-related issues in the Indian Himalayan Region and to enhance the public’s awareness of climate change.

The competition is open to Indian nationals who submit print/web articles, photos, TV/radio news stories that were published or aired in 2013, addressing climate science or the effects of, adaptation to and mitigation of climate change impacts in the Indian Himalayas. The deadline for entry is 15 February 2014.

Separate prizes will be awarded to the winners in each of the four categories at a function in New Delhi, India. Read more
