Two sources of news about the Alps

Would you like to know what the current developments and challenges for traffic, climate change and species diversity are in the Alps? Or where the Alpine Convention stands on these issues? What decisions Brussels, Rome, Paris or Vienna is taking that will affect the Alps? Or what bizarre or brilliant projects are going ahead in the Bregenz Forest, Chamonix or Lindenberg?

Every month, the “alpMedia” newsletter from International Commission for the Protection of the Alps (CIPRA) publishes news about the Alps. It contains selected events, a political statement by CIPRA and even a touch of humour. With over 27,000 subscribers, alpMedia is also one of the most widely read newsletters covering the Alps, with succinct and relevant reporting on the entire Alpine region.

Another magazine, “SzeneAlpen,” or Alps insight, contains an in-depth treatment of a particular topic. It presents the people with a major influence on the Alps, tells stories and provides a platform for experts. “SzeneAlpen,” a well-researched, entertaining and varied read, is sent out once or twice a year by post in one of the four main Alpine languages (namely French, German, Italian and Slovenian).
