Argentina’s Mountain Committee newsletter online

The Committee for Sustainable Development of the Mountain Regions of Argentina reports the latest mountain-related news, projects and upcoming workshops in its August-September newsletter.

The monthly newsletter in Spanish opens with a tribute to General José de San Martín and congratulates Dr Bibiana Vilá for winning the Midori Prize for her work on the conservation and sustainable use of vicuñas. An interview with Angel Graña González, Vice President of the Antonio Nunez Jimenez Foundation for Nature and Humanity, sheds light on his experience promoting more attentive care of the environment in Cuba and his recent visit to the mountains in Argentina.

Among the features is a cultural corner with pictures of mountains in Argentina, Bolivia and Peru.
