MPS launches online funding tool

The Mountain Partnership Secretariat (MPS) has launched a funding database to assist members in their resource mobilization efforts. The online tool will help identify resource partners and different funding sources to support projects on sustainable mountain development at the global, regional and local level.
The Mountain Partnership (MP) database is based on information collected through a comprehensive web search of funding organizations. The aim is to provide easy access to up-to-date information, focusing on priority areas, funding modalities and eligibility criteria. Currently, the database includes more than 240 funding sources with various search filters to allow members to efficiently locate funds according to geographical scope or thematic focus in addition to carry out ‘full text search’.
The funding database is part of a series of tools developed by the MPS to assist the implementation of its resource mobilization strategy as requested by the members in the Fourth Global Meeting of the MP in Erzurum, Turkey, in 2013.
