Mountains for Europe’s future

The Mountain Research Initiative and the Swiss-Austrian Alliance for Mountain Research would like to draw your attention to the Strategic Research Agenda "Mountains for Europe’s Future", a publication was launched in Brussels, Belgium, on 25 April 2016.

The authors of the strategic research agenda made it their ambitious aim to see more mountain topics included in Horizon 2020 work programme 2018-2020, and in future research funding programmes. The event, “Mountains for Europe's Future: Putting mountains on the agenda of Horizon 2020”, was very well attended and drew the interest of the European Commission. This confirms the importance of this effort!

MRI is happy to share this strategic document with you, hoping that its arguments for why mountains are important for all of Europe, as well as its recommended research activities will find their way into the relevant discussions and programmes.
