The National Center for Science Education (NCSE) in Oakland, California, USA, seeks a Climate Change Programs and Policy Director. Candidates must have at least a college degree, while advanced degrees, particularly in climate science or climate science education are pluses. Excellent communication skills, computer literacy (including the use of social media) and the ability to work cooperatively are necessary. The incumbent will be in charge of disseminating climate change related information by developing materials for print and web. He/She also give public speeches, network and maintain contact with journalists. The job includes providing advice and coordination to policymakers, advocacy groups, educators and scientists regarding climate change education.
