Call for case studies for a report on mountain forests worldwide – by 30 June 2011

Martin Price, UNESCO Chair in Sustainable Mountain Development, launched a request for case studies for a report on mountain forests worldwide he is coordinating. The report has been commissioned to the Institute of Forest Ecology at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna (BOKU) and FAO by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) to mark the occasion of the International Year of Forests 2011 and to ensure appropriate recognition of the world's mountain areas and their resources and people in the 2012 Rio+20 Earth Summit.
