A week dedicated to mountains at EXPO 2015

A week-long celebration on 4-11 June 2015, organized by mountainous countries and other members belonging to the Mountain Partnership, will promote sustainable mountain development at this year’s Universal Exposition, or EXPO 2015, in Milan, Italy. Tying in with EXPO’s theme, “Feeding the planet, energy for life”, events will showcase products originating from different upland regions of the world.
Mountain products, landscapes, traditions, projects and issues will be featured over the one-week course of exhibitions, discussions, seminars, presentations and concerts. Events organized for Mountain Week will share the same visual identity and be promoted on dedicated communication channels, such as dedicated website to further enhance visibility and guide EXPO visitors.
The Mountain Partnership Secretariat (MPS) and the Italian Delegation of the Alpine Convention invite organizations to participate in the “Mountain Week” to celebrate the importance of mountains and food security.
MP members will take part and display the Mountain Week logo at their pavilions during that week.
