He was ambitious and very hard working person. May his soul rest in peace ”, said Dr Sam Kanyamibwa, Executive Director, Albertine Rift Conservation Society (ARCOS).

The late Bagoora was a Ugandan national born in October 1952. He is survived by a widow and six children.

He attained a Master of Science from the University of Toronto, Canada in 1984 and a PhD in 1988 from the University of Toronto, Canada where he specialized in Environmental Geomorphology and Hydrology: Land and soil management; Hydrology of surface and sub-surface waters; Environmental measurements (Meteorological and Boundary-layer Climatological parameters), and Remote sensing of the environment.
