Climate solutions for mountain ecosystems

The Man and the Biosphere Programme (MAB) of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and the International Hydrological Programme (IHP) are organizing an exhibition on the impacts of climate change on mountain ecosystems during the twenty-first session of the Conference of the Parties (COP21) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

Displayed on the UNESCO gates and website from 2 November to 23 December 2015, the exhibition aims to raise awareness on the impacts of climate change in mountains, and potential solutions, as well as disseminate scientific data to policy and decision makers, diplomats and the general public during the Paris Climate Conference (COP21).

Starting on 2 November 2015 till 23 December, the exhibition will feature satellite images, aerial and ground level photographs from the Biosphere Reserves and World Heritage sites with descriptive text to illustrate wide range of impacts of climate change on mountain ecosystems goods and services.
