The Albertine Rift Conservation Society’s (ARCOS) Small Grants Programme aims to enhance collaborative sustainable solutions for biodiversity and people, focusing on critical landscapes and watersheds of the Albertine Rift, the Great Lakes Region of East and Central Africa and the African mountains. Please note that for this round until further notice, the call is for African mountains only.

Under this programme, civil society organizations are invited to submit project proposals of which budgets do not exceed USD 5 000 and which contribute to the achievement of the programme's goals under the following areas of work:

• Nature based community enterprises;
• ecosystem services and sustainable benefits;
• policy analysis and advocacy;
• climate change and community adaptation;
• natural resources management governance; and
• biodiversity threat mitigation.

Every year, proposals are received on a two-round basis with the first round open from 1 April through 31 May and the second round open from 1 October through 30 November. Interested organizations can find the details on the programme, including the application procedure, eligibility criteria, etc. through the ARCOS small grants guidelines.
