Issue 100 – Month 1 – Year 2017

The January issue of Peak to Peak presents the launch of a new online tool that facilitates international and cross-disciplinary collaboration on the assessment, conservation and sustainable use of mountain biodiversity. The newsletter continues with a call to highlight mountain research in the work programmes of Horizon 2020, a European Union research and innovation programme; an announcement of the winner of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations' International Mountain Day #MountainsMatter photo competition; a feature by the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development, celebrating Himalayan mountain cultures; and a case study about the Pewenche people of the Chilean Andes. Peak to Peak provides a sampling of Mountain Partnership members’ activities and features a mountain-related publication and video.
