 Call for applications for IPROMO 201703.04.2017Issue 103 – Month 4 – Year 2017 The April issue of Peak to Peak announces the call for applications for the 2017 IPROMO course, to focus on environmental and economic issues to enhance mountain sustainability. The newsletter continues with news of Mountain Partnership member Farmer Cooperative Alysh Dan winning the title of “Best exporter of Batken Region” in Kyrgyzstan and beginning construction of a storage facility for their dried apricots, the Mountain Partnership Secretariat launching a database of mountain-related education courses and degree programmes, the mountain states of the Indian Himalayan Region gathering to discuss water security and disaster risk reduction, and Italian mountain products flourishing despite economic and geographic challenges. Peak to Peak provides a sampling of MP members’ activities and events and features a mountain-related publication and video. |
