Promoting World Food Day in public areas

In cooperation with Yangon Region Transport Authority, FAO Myanmar team has been organizing to broadcast the 30-second promotional video of World Food Day on the public transports as one of the activities to promote the World Food Day and public awareness on food security and nutrition in Myanmar. With the support of World Food Day team, the video is subtitled in Myanmar language which becomes very effective in reaching out to the general public of the country. Starting from 05 October to 20 October, the promotional video is being broadcast on over 40 bus lines connecting and running across Yangon Region.

Likewise, FAO Myanmar office is cooperating with City Mart Holdings Limited and Shopper+ to display the World Food Day posters in their market branches. Starting from 10 October, the posters are being displayed at City Mart branches in Yangon and in Nay Pyi Taw (capital city) till 30 October. A small video was recorded on the broadcasting of World Food Day promotional video on the buses as well as the display of World Food Day posters at the markets.
