7-day Trainers’ training (ToT) on farm business school organized by FAO supported project 'Building Agri-Business Capacity of Smallholder Farmers to Market Safe Produce of Good Quality (TCP/NEP/3503)' kicked off in Kathmandu on 22 March 2016.

31 participants including 25 famers and 6 junior technicians from the districts of Dhading and Kavrepalanchok are attending the ToT.

FBS approach aims at involving the whole value chain actors in production, marketing and consumption of such products in order to improve smallholder incomes and enhance access to safe produce of good quality. The overall objective of the project is to contribute in improving the food security and nutrition in the country. The project adopts and promotes experiences of other country experiences in Farm Business School (FBS) to market safe and good quality produce. FBS is an output of the project to respond to the increasing demand for safe and good quality produce.

After the training the farmer facilitators will conduct Farm Business School (FBS) with the farmers’ groups lasting almost 3 months covering all 27 sessions of the training curricula designed and delivered for them in this training.
