Tackling Climate Change in the Pyrenees region

There is an increasing recognition of the importance of mountains ecosystems in sustainable development. The 2030 Agenda for sustainable development explicitly identifies sustainable mountain development through the inclusion of 3 targets under 2 of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (targets 6.6, 15.1 and 15.4). However, according to the last reports, the effects of climate change in mountain ecosystems are disproportionately higher than in other environments and the need to implement adaptation policies is critical for the future of mountain communities and the effective implementation of the 2030 Agenda.
